The Abu Dhabi Airports Company appointed DIWI to design the East Midfield Perimeter Roads as part of the multi-Billion Dirham expansion project at the Abu Dhabi International Airport. The project awarded to us comprised of Landside, Airside, and Bonded roads and a new interchange to provide access from the adjacent E11 motorway. A team of experts, including an airport specialist, traffic, transport, and geotechnical engineers, was mobilized to produce the designs from concept to detailed tender documents. The estimated value of construction of the DIWI project is AED 672 Million (€140 Million). The major structures are a bridge and two underpasses associated with the E11 Motorway Interchange, an underpass on the E11, underpasses within the east midfield and perimeter roads (including under taxiways) and dual, two-lane tunnels.
