Construction of Internal Roads & Infrastructure Works in Al-Shawamekh Area for Sectors (12,7) DIWI was appointed as Lead Consultant by Musanada to undertake construction supervision services for the construction of internal roads and infrastructure works in Al Shawamekh area for sectors (12,7), Abu Dhabi. DIWI Consult Emirates was responsible for supervision of the Project with an estimated construction cost of AED 255 Million. The project consists of infrastructure construction to provide services for 800 Mix Use Residential, Commercial, Religious and Government Plots. The development consists of internal roads, infrastructure, and public realm, including removal of existing pavement, sidewalks, and curbs; construction of new roadways, parking areas, service reservations, sidewalks, paving, drainage, street lighting; pavement marking and signing. It also includes the construction of new utilities such as sewer (Open Cut and Micro Tunneling), water, power, and telephone. The project commenced on 12th February 2016 and completed in October 2019. DIWI has successfully completed the project within the budget, quality, schedule, and environmental requirements. While executing this infrastructure project, the team was able to overcome the project challenges that includes maintaining safety of road users at all times.
